Shepherd Moons Album is by Enya, the Irish singer, songwriter, producer and musician.
Her third studio album was released on the 4th of November 1991 under the Warner Music record label.
The Shepherd Moons album, recorded in both Dublin and London, continued to use the style of multi-tracked vocals, keyboards and elements of Celtic and New age, the latter term which is disliked by the singer.
Receiving positive reviews in the music press, it went on to become more of a commercial success than her second album, Watermark.
In the United Kingdom, the album debuted at the top of the UK Albums Chart, spending one week there.
Outside of the UK, the Shepherd Moons album peaked inside of the Top 10 in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Holland, Norway, Sweden and Spain. In the United States, it reached number 17 on the Billboard 200.
Stand out tracks are ” Angeles “, ” Shepherd Moons ” and ” Caribbean Blue “, which reached number 13 in the UK and 79 in the US.
If you have Enya’s previous two albums, Enya and Watermark, or like the haunting sounds of Celtic and New age music, then the Shepherd Moons album is one for your CD collection.
